Reaching out to academia

As professional interest in agile methods grows, colleges and universities are beginning to teach about them.

TASK:

Develop a strategy for inviting the faculty and students of colleges and universities and universities to become involved with the Project, encouraging them to contribute to and benefit from it.

Already several opportunities have been identified:

• • the Agile Software Factory at Bowling Green State University - Bowling Green, Ohio, USA

  • Professor Chris Gilmore of the Portland State Oregon Master of Software Engineering teaches an Agile/Xp course

  • MSc in Software Project Management at Aberdeen Uni in Scotland is "... biased towards agile (and lean and EVO) values"
