What are "One Acts"?
The Maine State Drama Festival is a theatre competition where high school students perform a 40-minute One Act play. They compete against other schools at their regional or state host site and are judged based on their performance (acting, lights, sound, set, props, music, etc). It is weekend long festival in March where students perform as well as see all the other schools shows. Students have the opportunity to meet theatre makers across the state, bond with fellow FHS students who attend, and receive feedback from theatre professionals.
