Welcome! This is my 19th year of teaching and my 10th year teaching at De Anza Middle School. I have taught both elementary and middle school, but have found my true passion teaching 8th grade. When I began teaching, my goal was survival and making sure I had my students "under control". But as the years went on, I began to realize teaching was so much more than having a perfectly controlled environment. Through continuous collaboration, professional development, and growth mindset, I have found the true meaning of teaching. I continue to be on a growth journey and love the continual learning process!
