Panopto - Lecture Capture
Panopto is a video and audio recording platform that integrates with Blackboard Learn. This tool can assist faculty in flipping the classroom, capturing lectures, and supplementing learning content for students.
How to Log onto Panopto
All faculty, staff, and students can use Panopto by going to our Panopto server cua.hosted.panopto.com. Select the option to sign in through Blackboard and use your Catholic University credentials to sign in.

Setup at a Glance
Plug in camera and/or microphone
Launch the Panopto Recorder
Log in with Blackboard
Link the recorder to your course (big down arrow)
Set Primary Sources (video/audio)
Set Secondary Sources (PowerPoint, primary screen)
Press Record
Best Practices for Recording Powerpoint Presentations in Panopto
DO NOT use the voice over PPT tool. You can record audio with your PPT through Panopto.
Move the PPT file to the local Desktop of the computer you will record on
Open the Panopto Recorder
Check the PPT Capture Secondary Source
Open the PPT presentation from the DESKTOP
Complete the recording
Check that PPT and audio/video has recorded correctly once it has uploaded to the CUA Panopto server
