Turning Microphone On/Off and Muting

Before joining a meeting, make sure your headset has been set to the be the default playback and recording device on your Windows or Mac OS personal computer.

IMPORTANT: Your professor must give you microphone rights prior to following these steps

  1. Join the meeting
  2. It is strongly suggested that you run the Audio Setup Wizard, click this link to view the tutorial

3. To turn your microphone On, click the microphone button

4. If you see this popup, click Allow

5. When the microphone button is green, the microphone is live

6. To mute, click the green microphone button, the slash through the button means it is muted

7. To turn off your microphone, click the drop down arrow and then click Disconnect My Microphone

8. When the microphone button is white, the microphone is off
