Graduation Information and Credit Check Forms


Freshman Information

Your Freshman year is a time to adjust to high school and a great time to get involved in clubs, sports and activities. Research shows students who are involved in extracurricular activities such as sports, clubs, etc., perform better in school. It is important that Freshman get involved and become a part of the school community for more than just six periods a day.

Freshman year also is an excellent time to think about what you would like to do when you graduate and make an appointment with your counselor or visit the CHS Career Center to talk about your plan.

A typical Freshman schedule includes Math, Language Arts, Physical Science, Health and Freshman Fitness. In addition to these core classes students will have two periods of the day designated to elective classes. Students planning to attend a four-year university directly after High School will want to be sure and take at least two years of a world language and many students choose to take a world language their 9th and 10th grade years.

If a student does not pass any semester of the Math, English, Science, Health or PE, he or she will need to re-take and pass that class before they can graduate. Make high school easy by passing all your classes the first time. If you are struggling in a class, work something out with the teacher or meet with the counselor. Don't wait until there is an F on your transcript.

Sophomore Information

Your Sophomore year is a time to stretch your wings a bit and if you haven't already done so, it is a great time to get involved in clubs, sports and activities. It is an excellent time to think about what you would like to do when you graduate and make an appointment with your counselor or visit the CHS Career Center to talk about your plan.

During your Sophomore year you will take the Washington state assessments. It is important that you are prepared for the tests as they are part of your graduation requirements. Please click the link above for more information and details.

Junior Information

Your Junior year is a time to make some choices about what you would like to do after you graduate from CHS and, if you haven't already done so, it is a great time to get involved in clubs, sports and activities. It is an excellent time to make an appointment with your counselor or visit the CHS Career Center to talk about your post graduation plan.

During your Junior year you will take the Washington state assessments. It is important that you are prepared for the tests as they are part of your graduation requirements. Please click the link above for more information and details.

A typical Junior schedule includes Language Arts, U.S. History, Math, and elective classes. Please make an appointment with your counselor if you do not have these classes in your schedule.

Senior Information

Your Senior year is a time to make plans for what you would like to do after you graduate from CHS, and if you haven't already done so, it is not too late to get involved in clubs, sports and activities. It is a good idea to make an appointment with your counselor or visit the CHS Career Center to talk about your plans. Scholarship information is available in the Counseling office and online.
