各位家長、同學們：

　　大家好！第一學期剛過去，評估表現的好壞是我們繼續努力奮鬥的目標，要加油哦！我們三年級第二學期的第三單元安排如下：

1. 學習《我愛學語文》三上1冊和三下1冊的課文，本單元我們將會教的課文包括《擦皮鞋的小孩》、《五塊曲奇餅》、《不一樣的常識課》、《電車之旅》。

2. 1月3日是第一次默書，1月17日是第二次默書，2月1日是小測，請留意日期及範圍，提前溫習。

3. 除課文外，我們同時會進行看圖説話、小組討論、聆聽教學，同學們也會學習成語、古詩及寫作。

        In U3, the Magic Tree House is the theme throughout the reading and writing. Students are going to write their own version of the Magic Tree House adventurous story. 

                Grammar items will cover the usages of quotation marks and commas. Students will also learn more about the possessive pronouns.

Reading comprehension skills include:

1. The cause and effect 

2. The author's main purpose (entertain) and the secondary purpose (inform, persuade) based on the evidence in a text.

The 3rd dictation is on 18th December. The phonemes include: c, ce, s, se, ss, u, oo, oul, a/ ar

           P3 will learn about weight and compare the weights of objects, gram and kilograms, parallel lines, parallelograms as well as trapeziums.  

            In Unit 3 ‘It’s a Small World’, students will learn about the Earth and the diverse cultures found across the globe. Students will study the Earth’s features and its different environments, as well as gain an understanding of natural disasters. Then, students will explore the different aspects of traditional Chinese culture, before analyzing and comparing the characteristics of different cultures. For this unit, students will need the ‘Wonderful World’ workbook and self-learning guide.
