Installed a WOLFBOX G840S Mirror Dash Cam Backup Camera purchased on Amazon. It replaces the rearview mirror which had limited usage due to the obstructed views from the bed etc. The device is loaded with features including: Front and Rear View Dual Cameras, Night Vision, Parking Assistance, & GPS.
Purchased a wiring kit to connect the mirror to the fuse box (It came with a 12v cigarette plug) The red wire (above left) is connected to a terminal that only functions when the vehicle is on and the yellow wire (above middle) is connected to an always on terminal. This allows the mirror to function when the vehicle starts up but also allows us to leverage the motion detection (security) features when the vehicle is off.
Many mount their cameras inside the housing and that was my original plan but after receiving this specific camera, I was concerned, due to the lack of surface area on the front of the camera, I would be unable to securely attach it to the inside of the housing so I finally decided on the bottom of the center parking light above the rear doors. (It just clears the rear doors) I drilled a small 1/4" hole between the stock camera and the light for the camera wire and sealed it with all weather silicone both inside and outside of the housing.
Images from the cameras are great. These images above are cropped but should give you an idea of the clarity. The videos looks good as well however I'm having issues viewing them off the device. It natively records video in a dated TS file format and for some reason the playback on my devices (even after converting them to MP4) is choppy.
