The York Public School District is comprised of York High (9-12), York Middle (6-8), and York Elementary (PK-5). YHS is classified by the NSAA as a Class B school. YPS is currently accredited through the Nebraska Department of Education. The York Public Schools offer a comprehensive program for students from birth through age 21. These programs include general education, vocational, special education, alternative education, career academies, work certification programming, and college-level courses. There is a strong emphasis on technology with up-to-date resources to enhance learning through technology. York Public Schools has a strong emphasis on instruction as the core instructional model call the YPS Principles of Learning is embedded in teaching, learning, professional development, and educator effectiveness initiatives. The YPS Principles of Learning include: Clear Instruction/Feedback, Practice/Engagement, and Relationship/Environment.
