I am a third-year PhD student in psycholinguistics. My current research looks at how prosody can disambiguate different syntactic structures, and at what time point the disambiguation happens.
In my spare time, I enjoy baking, taking photos, and hiking.
I am a third-year PhD student in Psycholinguistics. My main research interest is in second language phonology, particularly the effects of orthography on the development of tone in L2 Mandarin. This year, I am teaching the Structure of English and Acoustic Phonetics and Phonological Analysis modules. I am also a part-time French tutor with the Languages for All team. Outside of academia, I enjoy climbing, cycling and board games.
I am a first year PhD student in Generative Syntax. My main area of interest is in architectural and theoretical syntax, within a minimalist framework, investigating the relationship between syntax and the interfaces which constrain it. My current research focuses on phase theory, specifically looking at the vP, investigating its phasal status, and the implications this has on a phase-based theory of syntax.
In my spare time, I enjoy a variety of video games.
I am a second year MSc Psycholinguistics student, using eye tracking to study the effects of linguistic bound focus on semantic interference in filler gap sentences including Illusions of Plausibility. I also work a lot with Syntax, specifically with subject clitics and the parametric classification of Northern Italian languages, with particular attention to Venetan dialects.
I am an MSc Linguistics student, with a primary interest in Sociolinguistics & Linguistics Education. I am interested in Dialectology, Linguistic Justice, and Language Variation & Change.
In my spare time I like to cook, play the piano & do improv comedy!
