Yampah Mountain School is a public school formed in 1989 to provide a non-traditional educational environment for students who may benefit from additional support and resources to achieve their academic and personal goals.The Rebound Affective needs program was initially developed prior to the 1989 formation of the alternative high school, and remains a program of the CR BOCES member districts, and not a licensed school. In 1994, a Teen Parent Program was added to address students with parenting responsibilities. In 2001, the school was designated as a Glasser Quality School and Choice Theory remains the foundational philosophy of the school. 


Yampah's school district is CO River BOCES, a member school district collaborative that includes: Roaring Fork, Garfield Re2, Garfield 16, and Aspen. Yampah is partially funded through member district per-pupil-funding revenue.Additional funding is provided by a variety of NPOs and government agencies, including the CO Child Care Assistance Program, CO Adult & Child Food Program and Early Head Start.Yampah is CDE accredited to award HS diplomas, with an AEC exemplary rating "Performance". TPP nurseries is a Level 4 Colorado Shines rating Fall 2020. The annual graduating class is typically 65-75 students.

BLENDED LEARNING

Blended Learning combines classroom learning with personalized digital curriculum, offering students the best of both worlds. It's becoming a requirement in postsecondary settings nationwide, ensuring students have the skills for navigating this model. Enrolled students follow a CDE-approved full-time high school curriculum, with a mix of in-person and digital learning.

Picture this as teacher-facilitated, in-person learning complemented by online coursework outside of school. It provides interaction with teachers and peers, along with independent and self-paced work. Digital curriculum focuses on knowledge-based coursework, while in-person classes emphasize wellness and experiential learning. Blended Learning gives students a comprehensive and flexible education tailored to their needs..

Blended Learning combina el aprendizaje en el aula con un plan de estudios digital personalizado, ofreciendo a los estudiantes lo mejor de ambos mundos. Se está convirtiendo en un requisito en entornos postsecundarios en todo el país, lo que garantiza que los estudiantes tengan las habilidades para navegar este modelo.
