The book was published in 2019 and is now part of a 4 volume series and soon to be 5 volume series with 1 more volume planned to be released after the 5th (i think) which would make it a 6th volume series. 

In this graphic novel series, one boy has a crush on another boy, who he thinks is straight, but who not really straight. Will they get together. 

The books are interesting. I don't usually see books with gay characters, and even then, the characters don't really add much to the story. This is different because it is a main part of the story, and not just a side note. 

I think this book is appropriate for people in grade 7 and up, if they know about sex and relationships.

I chose ‘Misery Meat’ because the song itself is about an abusive relationship which reminded me of Charlie’s relationship with Ben and how it was not romantic and Ben just used Charlie for someone to kiss rather than someone to actually care about. I chose Baby hotline because the entire song is about calling about someone and hoping they get better/constantly asking if they’re okay (i think the person that the singer is referring to is dead). The song ‘I wanna be your boyfriend’ is relevant because at the end of the first book, Charlie wants to tell nick “I love you” but is scared that their relationship will go bad and nick wouldn’t think of their relationship as fully romantic or anything.
