Bloom Review

In a quick recap of the book, it is about three Canadian  teens -- Petra   Anaya, and Seth -- living though a drought caused by a black grass and them living thought. The main goal for our characters is the  save the world from the drought. But will the  friendship stay as strong as it once was?

There are many  positives to this book. For one, Kenneth Oppel handles the characters really well. The stakes felt very real. Also, the visual effects for the black grass were very impressive. The book was very well written and deserves an award. It has a really good cliffhanger ending.

But there are some negatives to this book. For one, there are a few too many pages. It was about 20 pages too long. And the trope of teens banding together to save the world is pretty unoriginal.

Finally In conclusion the book bloom is a very enjoyable enjoyable and i would say that you should give it a read. I recommend it to anyone from Grade 7 to Grade 11, especially if they like teenage heroes.

8/10

This is a poster for if Bloom was a movie.
