Type of learning design resources: Apart from classic learning objects, OICS includes collections dedicated to teaching methods (generic descriptions of teaching and learning activities, e.g. problem based learning, think-pair-share, jigsaw, etc.) and learning designs (contextualized, ready-to-run descriptions of teaching and learning activities, e.g. an IMS LD unit of learning on academic writing, or a full MIT OpenCourseWare course on astrophysics).
About: OICS was developed in the ICOPER project and is hosted by WU Vienna University; it is a federation of various existing educational repositories, with additional collections of user-generated content (e.g. learning designs created and shared with OpenGLM).
