INFORMATION REGARDING ACADEMIC STANDING AT GRADUATION

YCDSB HONOUR ROLL STATUS

Honour roll is calculated as an average of 79.5% of a students top 6 courses taken during the school year, including those taken in the previous summer, and including all courses delivered by YCDSB and taught by YCDSB teachers through regular day school, summer school, night school, Saturday school, e-learning or international programmes.

ONTARIO SCHOLAR STATUS

The Ontario Scholar is a student who obtains an aggregate mark (total of all marks) of 480 in his/her top 6 Scholar Credits and has obtained a diploma.  Ministry-approved courses are the following:

· Any Grade 12 university preparation, university/college preparation, college preparation, workplace preparation, and/or open courses authorized under OSS, including locally developed courses approved by the Ministry

·   Cooperative education courses related to any of the above courses

· Dual credit courses in college-delivered dual credit programmes approved by the Ministry
