ONTARIO STUDENTS APPLYING ON OUAC

You've done your research, you've found the programs that does perfect for you, and it looks like you meet the admission requirements to that program. Great! Now it's time to apply😊


Steps to create an account with the Ontario University Application Centre.

You will need the following information to apply on OUAC:

1) Your Ontario Education Number which you can find on your Credit Counselling Summary or Report Cards
2) Date of Birth

3) Visit Ontario Universities' Application Centre (ouac.on.ca)

4) Click on “Apply Now” (* you are considered an “undergrad” *)

5) Create Account - Click on “Create my Account”

 6) Fill out the 4 steps to “Basic Information”

*After step 2, you will be sent an email to verify your email. VERIFY your email prior to moving on to step 3*

* After confirming terms and conditions, click on CREATE MY ACCOUNT

7) Once you are in, Click on “Undergraduate”, then “Continue”

8) Once you are in, click on “Get Started”

9) You are now in your Undergraduate OUAC Application Hub. Here is where you will fill out your Application Status Steps 1 - 5 (right hand side).

IMPORTANT DATES TO REMEMBER WHEN APPLYING TO OUAC

JANUARY, 15 2024

Deadline for Ontario high school students to submit their completed application to the OUAC.

Note: The OUAC still processes applications received after this date and distributes them to the universities; however, specific university deadlines will apply.

The initial application includes all final grades from completed Grade 11 and 12 courses, and a list of all current-year courses in progress.

FEBRUARY, 15 2024

Target date for Ontario universities to receive all final grades available for 4U/M courses and current full-year grades for 4U/M courses from the OUAC. 

                               APRIL 25, 2024

Deadline for Ontario high schools to report all midterm/final grades available for 4U/M courses and interim grades for full-year courses to the OUAC. Grades the OUAC receives earlier than the deadline will be sent to Ontario universities when received. 

              MAY 2, 2024

Target date for Ontario universities to receive all midterm/final grades available for 4U/M courses and interim grades for full-year courses from the OUAC. Grades the OUAC receives earlier than the deadline will be sent to Ontario universities when received. 

                             MAY 29, 2024

The latest date all high school applicants who submitted their application by the January application deadline can expect a response from an Ontario university. This includes: An offer of admission; a refusal; or a deferral, once additional information is received. 

                     JUNE 3, 2024

The earliest date an Ontario high school student may be required to respond to an Ontario university offer of admission and give a financial commitment (e.g., registration deposit, residence deposit, etc.).

All other admission-related elements, including scholarships, other forms of student assistance or financial incentives, and offers of residence are considered part of the offer of admission. Therefore, a student may accept these other offers before June 1, 2024, but Ontario universities will not compel a student in any way to make a decision earlier than this date.

                JULY 4, 2024

Deadline for the OUAC to receive all final grades for 4U/M courses from Ontario high schools. 

                  AUGUST 1-30 2024

The OUAC collects summer school grades from Ontario high schools and school boards. 

WHAT DOES IT COST TO APPLY?

Base Application Fee: $150

Additional Choice Fee: $50/choice

Supplemental Program Fee:  Varies per program
