IB Prep Diploma Program Application OPENS OCTOBER 19, 2026
STEP 1: Apply to the Program via the YCDSB Secondary Specialty Program Application (IBDP Prep) with all supporting documentation:
DUE November 27, 2026 by 11:59 p.m.
In order for your application process to go smoothly please have the following readily available:
All student and parent/guardian information.
Current school information.
All necessary documents: Final Grade 7 report card.
Admissions application FEE is $25.00 and will be required via School Day before the application will be considered.
STEP 2: IBDP Prep Admissions Fee of $25 is payable via School Day by November 27, 2026 (Please use the following instructions)
STEP 3: Successful applicants will be notified via email on:
December 14, 2026. The email will include the registration process for entry into CCCHS. Please ensure that you read through the email carefully.
*** Please note that applications will not be assessed without payment.
If you receive notification that your child may begin the IBDP Prep Program in September 2027, please proceed to Step 4 & 5.
STEP 4: Ensure that you complete the YCDSB REGISTRATION.
NON-YCDSB STUDENTS Instructions for this process will be provided with your IB acceptance notification.
YCDSB registration should have been completed via link that was sent by the YCDSB on October 19th.
STEP 5: Complete the package that is sent to you once you accept your offer. It will include:

IB Preparatory Diploma Programme Mandatory Fee ($150.00)
*** Please note that students will not be registered in the IB Preparatory Diploma Programme without payment. Also, there may be additional fees not specific to IB such as the Student Activity Fee, Lock Fee, etc.
Candidates will be evaluated based on their report card marks/comments
All candidates will be informed of their application status on December 14, 2026.
Current Cardinal Carter CHS Grade 9 students wishing to apply to the Grade 10 IB Preparatory Diploma Programme are required to connect with the IB Coordinator.
Grade 9 students that are not from Cardinal Carter CHS please call the school to speak to the IB Coordinator.
