First Thoughts/ Goals for This Semester

I hope to learn how to create cool art using my computer. Most of the art that looks cool to me is created digitally. I hope to improve my skills I learned in Art Fundamentals so that I am proud of the art that I create. The art that I created last year wasn't that good so I am looking to improve that. As of right now I don't have any experience in graphic design.

Reflecting on Goals

I definitely achieved my goals this semester. I wanted to create cool art on my computer and I definitely learned how to do that. I also improved my overall art skills that I learned in Art Fundamentals. Our first couple assignments in this class were with paper and pencil. I think that was a good way to introduce graphic design so that I can make my computer art better. I think I made some big improvements in my assignments from last year. A lot of my assignments last year were sloppy because I didn't spend a lot of time working on them but this year I put effort and time into all my assignments.

My Favorite Assignment from this semester.

The morphing project was definitely my favorite assignment from this class. I think it is my best assignment because it looks really realistic. If someone didn't know what a horse and a tucan were they would think this is a real animal. I also had a lot of fun working on this project. I felt that I was really creative during this project. First off the bird was originally black and yellow but I used photoshop to match the color of the bird with the color of the horse. Then I kept the horse ears behind the head to add more of the horse in so it doesn't only look like the bird. Then I blended the two animals really well together to make it look like only one animal. Finally I made the background the moon to really be creative. This project was one of the only "4"s I got this year and I am very proud of it.
