Creating Illusions/morphing

Purpose:

• To learn about the career of a visual effects artist;

• To learn how mythology inspires a variety of designs;

• To use Photoshop tools to alter and morph animals in a number of ways that build upon basic skills.

I made my work look believable and professional in a couple ways. First I blended the head of the tucan with the body of the horse really well. I used the clone-stamp tool a lot and I also used the smudge tool a little bit. I also changed the color of the tucan to match the horse body color which came out really well. I had to adjust the angle of the head a little bit but the tucan head and the horse head have a similar curve so that made it easier. I then chose the moon as my background. That might have not been the best choice but I think it demonstrates creativity and it is pretty unique.
