I learned that perspective and dedication can affect your artwork. It was important to learn about perspective because it helped increase how realistic my art looked and how good it looked. It was important to learn that dedication affects my artwork because it made me learn that if I put in time and effort it would pay off and I would be able to enjoy my work. These two things helped me with my artwork and growing as a person and an artist.
Next year I will be taking photography one and I am hoping to expand my knowledge on the subject. I love photography and I can’t wait to dig deeper into my abilities as a photographer and have fun. My new goal is to continue to push my limits about what I can do in art and try new things and want to continue to do photography next year. I will use the camera that I have at home to continue to experiment outside of school and have fun.
The project I am most proud of is the Photographing in the style of Joel Sartore assignment. I love how I was able to portray a range of different emotions and expressions with my dog. I love my dog a lot and it was very fun because I got to spend a lot of time with him. I also think that my dog was a good subject because of his big expressive eyebrows and the permanent anxious expression on his face. This impacted my learning of how lighting affects photos and how to work with a live subject.
I make art for many reasons. I make art because it creates a peaceful atmosphere, art creates a space for me to focus and enjoy being creative. Art usually requires a hands-on approach which is my favorite way to approach things. I like to create things that aren’t there before because it makes me feel like I have the ability to change the gloomy things around me. I want to improve my overall understanding of art, including history and different techniques. I hope to learn more about how to create meaningful art and use art to express myself.
