Purpose: Use a 3” x 3” post-it as a template to create a multiple-sided, lidded box out of slabs. Tie together the different sides and lid of the box with connected shapes/concepts.

My idea was to make a recipe box with all my favorite foods on the sides. The top has a checkered pattern representing a tablecloth or picnic blanket, and the handle has the word recipes on it. I used water etching for the different foods, and letter stamps to press on the letters. I believe that the viewer would want to see all the different foods and note the variety. I am happy that my idea turned out the way I hoped it would.
I am very proud of how my box turned out and believe that it resembles my original idea. I like the different foods and the red and white checkered design on top. The word recipes ended up looking better than I thought it would, so I was pleasantly surprised. If I could create another slab form, I would take more time cutting the top and make a more consistent cut. Overall, I am happy with the final result and would enjoy making another one.
