And the winner is...
Three teachers from Barrufet school have visited Onovna Skola in Strahoninec (Croatia). There they could live their day by day at school and learn about inclusion and language learning, their way to use ICT's and even see how "future teachers" are taught in Croatia, visiting the University. But the most important lesson they took from this experience was sharing ideas and create a reliable networking.
Do not doubt that this will not be our last visit to this great school!
Three teachers have experience an amazing experience at Grindsted school (Aalborg, Denmark). We were interested in job shadow their school, their strenghts (outdoor learning, methods, how do they teach ICT's, reading and writing... )
We have learnt a lot, we have also visited a "Makerspace" (Sofiendalskonen) in Aalborg, a place where they foster innovation through hands-on experimentation , mixing technologies, design and arts sharing their expertise with the community.
Finally we could go to "the end of the world"... We went to Skagen, Denmark's northernmost town... something magical!
Danish teachers visited our school at the beginning of the year and now, after our visit, we can say we have strang bonds that will allow new future projects together. Great memories!
Two invited experts (Silvana Rampone and Emanuela Boffa) from Italy were invited to Barrufet school.
They are CLIL/PBL/ICT experts , eTwinning ambassadors and with recognized international experience as speakers in videoconferences worldwide.
They have helped our school to create learning situations using different strategies, teamwork and focussing on SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals) and Gender Equality. During three days they have done workshops about the Global Goals (SDG Sustainable Development Goals) and Gender Equality to students in the 6th grade. They also have share their expertise with our whole faculty sharing a book list to help inclusion at all the stages and their awesome eTwinning projects about books and inclusion.
It's been an amazing experience and we (students and teachers) have learnt a lot.
Thank you Silvana and Emanuela!
Three teachers, Rosy (6th grade teacher), Esther (English teacher) and Aurora (music teacher and head of studies) have participated in a jobshadowing mobility to observe an eTwinning school in Turkey, Ödemis Zafer Ilkokulu in Ödemis . We wanted to observe their teaching strategies and lesson methodology and reflect on school priorities and methods. We had a warm welcome and we have been in different classes and different subjects, shared their breaks times, very different to ours, learnt about their use of technologies in the classroom, materials used (books, notebooks, evaluation...). We have learnt about digital and ICT school policies and plans, observed new teaching methods in the classroom, their use of eTwinning, their way to teach reading and writing... During all the job shadowing we have experienced the accompaniment of members of the headmanagement team, had different meetings with the headmaster and even with the Provincial National Education Governor of Ödemiş.
We also visited Secondary school Ödemis Ortaokulu, in Ödemis. (Zafer school is only until 4th grade, and we also wanted to observe teaching in 5th and 6th grade). We meet their head team and share ideas about our school education systems and about Erasmus and its opportunities and we also visited two 6th grade classes and the kintergarden of their school.
We participated in an interview on a local radio program in Ödemiş.
One of the first immediate results after this mobility is to have awakened the interest and curiosity of our students towards another country. A collaboration has started involving 4th grade classes. They are interchanging letters in English.
A great job shadowing

The headmaster of the school participated in the training course in the Converzum School of Budapest. During the lessons, Positive Psychology was introduced. The main objective of the activities were to practice with strategies that help us to deal with the negative emotions and promote the positive way of thinking. There were plenty of new concepts such as emotional granularity, learned optimism, psychological safety or PERMA that can help us to reflect about how we deal with emotions and the learning process in order to improve the school environment.
One teacher of the school, Joana Perez has participated in a training course in Lisbon about ICT's.
In this course she has had the opportunity to learn more about digital tools and improve her skills, and at the same time to increase her belonging to Europe. In the different lessons she could:
Create online digital materials for online teaching and learning;
Edit a Word document;
Create an effective PowerPoint presentation and use it as the basis for a video;
Create and edit video files for the classroom;
Communicate and collaborate in an online environment;
Create digital games for different subjects;
Assess students’ progress with online tools.
All these learning, tools and ideas are going to be shared with all her school colleagues to make the most of this wonderful experience.
