The described CLIL sessions were intended for primary and secondary students, specifically 4th primary graders and 1st CSE graders. Both proposals are a set of competence-focused activities with practical and achievable objectives. The aim of the activities was developing key competences and to equip students with useful skills for real life. The main goal is to offer students the opportunity to acquire skills in both language dimensions; basic interpersonal communicative skills (BICS) but also cognitive academic language proficiency (CALP) in the English language together with specific content of the artistic and technological dimension in the 1st CSE course and of science field for 4th primary graders. Interdisciplinary and cross-curricular projects, offer a wide range of English language exposure in both communicative skills and cognitive academic language.
Also, the following proposals try to prove that ICT, teamwork, and interactions in different grades, increases motivation and engagement of pupils in everyday lessons as well as enhances personal and social competencies. Our proposals are not only linked to linguistic skills but also artistic, technological and scientific skills. Personal and social competencies are also improved and developed by collaboration, cooperation and throughout the formative and summative assessment when students are aware and take active part in their own learning process.
