"Let's cross the boundary of Primary education together" is an Erasmus+ KA2 project (Cooperation for innovation and exchage of good practices).
It is a transnational project focused on students from 11-15 and their teachers. The project includes teachers ´ meetings focused on planning next steps and evaluation activities which have been already done and also discussion of potential problems of the project work. Short-term joint staff training events focused on different school subjects are included too. The partners aim to introduce pupils and teachers alike to new teaching, pedagogical and disciplinary methods as both will have the chance to participate in the partner schools’ lessons. This helps to compare the educational system of different countries, for education is an extension of a country's culture.
The main objective of this project is to improve and transform the way we teach and learn. Project will be based on eTwinning project – so all the outcomes will be uploaded to common transnational twinspace. To do this, we do not only need to involve the few students who will take part in project directly, but also their european classmates and peers. There is a general trend all over Europe to put more and more effort into learning languages. That is why we want our students to have better foreign language learning opportunities. Our project aims to do this by allowing pupils to actively work together in mixed groups, make decisions on a variety of issues and communicate with each other. The project is also essential as it will help the pupils to find practical solutions to problems that may arise by working together and using their own personal experiences to provide input.
Results (outcomes) – 8 issues of School magazine (on-line version in English, printed in mother tongue at each partner school)
Each issue would be focused on 1 school subject (Art, Physics, Maths, Music, PE (sport), History, Geography, Biology).
Contents – famous people, discoveries, quizes, puzzles, tasks for partners. Each English issue of the magazine will include special 5 language dictionary with chosen words and phrases of each topic.
Pupils will work in international groups – creative and critical learning. According the plan each team will be responsible for 1 - 2 issues and connecting Short-term joint staff training events.
This project presents a unique opportunity, as the participating schools offer diversity of geography, sociology and history. That is why it is necessary to carry out this project transnationally.
The Czech school will be the coordinating school. The Czech school and Barrufet school have created an etwinning project with the same name. Each country has organized some areas of the project structure. Each school team is responsible for different issue of the magazine based on different school subject.
The project will be performed in close co-operation with the students. The realization of the project is planned for six schools with similar school curriculum and with the students whose have many common hobbies and interests.
The students will get in contact via Twinspace (they will be useful members) and they can chat on the eTwinning platform in a secure area. . The students create their projects outputs according to the given tasks in the groups of their country ot transnational and the outputs will be uploaded on the eTwinning platform, the results can be discussed and the students can advice each other beyond national borders.
The Short-term joint staff training event will be part of the project so the hosting institution will organise the following activities:
The hosting institution will be responsible for:
Each school will have a national Erasmus day where teachers and pupils will organise events with the community to share the details of the project.
A wide range of activities to collaborate and help our magazines designs and creations. Students and teachers can use different ICT tools and materials. Introductions, polls to decide the name of the magazine, the designs, presentations, activities, forums, transnational teams to create articles for the magazines...
We will create 8 issues of special school magazine as the main goal of our project. Each issue will be focused on one school subject. We will concentrate on these subjects - Physics, Geography, Maths, Music, Sport, History, Art and Civics. Wev would like to motivate students to learn in interesting and creative way. Through these magazines we would like to integrate our students to the topics. Each of issue should consist of a lot of materials prepared to enrich and enhance students knowledges about the topic. It should also be something in addition to school curriculum. Different partners will be responsible for different issues/subjects. But students will work in transnational and national teams to create the content of each issue. They will work together on different tasks, quizes and questionnares for the partners.
The language of magazines will be English (project communicative language ) but our plan is also to translate all the issues to mother tongue and print them for more participants - other pupils, teachers, parents and public. English version will be on-line on twinspace. We would like to use word,PDF and some useful webpages , for example issue.com or woobook.com , to create on-line version of the magazine.
We will organize transnational project meetings for the teachers and short term training events for the teachers as an inseparable part of the issues. That means that the school that is responsible for the issue will arrange workshops and short jobshadowins about the school subject. Teachers will broaden their pedagogical and methodological skills.
According the project plan there will
be 8 issues of Magazine (1 per 2 months)
All the issues will be created on-line in English and printed in mother tongue at each partnership school and distributed.
Each issue will include 5 language dictionary with special vocabulary focused on each chosen topics.
Transnational project meeting will take place during the project work. There will be (2-3) transnational project meetings.
Short-term joint staff training events - We have planned four short training events (Czech Republic-Spain-Greece-Croatia-Denmark) along the two years of the project in order to provide our involved teachers with enough knowledge and tools. These training events will focus on different activities (workshops) relative to different school subjects.
