Consolation Prize, Poster Presentation

Ms Mubasshira Shaikh, PhD scholar guided by Prof Priya Sundarrajan, won the consolation prize for e-poster presentation at the International Conference VishwaSwasthyam 2025: ‘Integrative Strategies for Metabolic Health - Protect the Present, Safeguard the Future’ held in January 2025 for her poster titled 'Turning Waste into a Health Solution: Enumeration of Potato Peel Extract for Anti-Diabetic Properties'.

Oral Presentations

SYBSc student Mr Vivekanand Shivpure, guided by Dr Sangeeta Shetty and
Dr Binoj Kutty, was selected for a podium talk and presented a poster titled 'Carbon nanotubes based bacteriophage functionalized biosensor to determine potability of water samples’ in the UG, Pure Sciences category at the 19th Avishkar Research Convention 2024-25 (Zone-1), organized by the Department of Student Development, University of Mumbai, at Lala Lajpat Rai College, Mahalakshmi in December 2024.

Mr Saurabh Oswal, PhD scholar guided by Prof Priya Sundarrajan, was selected for a podium talk and for the final round of poster presentation in the PPG Pure Sciences category at the 19th Avishkar Research Convention 2024-25 (Zone-1), organized by the Department of Student Development, University of Mumbai, at Lala Lajpat Rai College, Mahalakshmi, in December 2024.

MSc Part 1 students Ms Sonal Maharana and Mr Harsh Jain guided by Dr Maya Murdeshwar presented a poster based on their DBT-Builder research work at the 'One-Day Seminar on Synthetic Biology' organized by Sunandan Divatia School of Science (SD-SOS), SVKM's NMIMS (Deemed-to-be) University, Mumbai, in collaboration with the Society for Biological Chemists (India), Mumbai Chapter.
