1st Prize, Poster Presentation
Ms Nandini Jha, MSc Part II student, guided by Dr Bhaskar Saha, won the 1st Prize for research poster presentation under ‘Pure and Applied Science’ category at Jignyasa 2024: An Intercollegiate Research Meet organized by SIES College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Mumbai on 13th March 2024.
Poster title: Cardiospermum halicacabum (balloon vine) seed extract protects neuromotor activities in Caenorhabditis elegans from UV-induced stress.

Ms Mubasshira Shaikh, PhD scholar under Prof Priya Sundarrajan, was awarded 2nd prize for her poster titled ‘Potato peels as a source of natural antioxidants: An approach towards waste management’ under the 'Agriculture and Animal Husbandry' category at the Post-PG (PPG) Level at the 18th Aavishkar: Inter-Collegiate / Institute /Department Research Convention Final Round at Vaze College on 22nd December, 2023.

SYBSc students Mr Shresth Kapoor, Ms Arshiya Sabeel, Ms Ishita Parker, Ms Ayesha and Mr Animesh Soni, guided by Dr Radhika Tendulkar won the 3rd Prize for oral scientific presentation at AARYA (Awareness and Action Research for Youth Awakening) - National Intercollegiate Interdisciplinary Undergraduate Research Competition 2024 organized at College of Home Science, Nirmala Niketan, Mumbai, 28th February 2024 on occassion of National Science Day.

FYBSc student Mr Vivekanand Shivpure, was awarded the 3rd Prize for Model Presentation of the circuit design for the 'Carbon nanotubes based bacteriophage functionalized biosensor' to determine the potability of water. He was guided by Dr Sangeeta Shetty. The competition was organized under the Science Association of Maharashtra College, Mumbai, on 9th September 2023.

Ms Mubasshira Shaikh, PhD scholar under Prof Priya Sundarrajan, presented her work on 'Sustainable utilisation of potato peels as a source of natural antioxidants in food products' at the International Conference on Biological Sciences For Sustainable Future (ICBSSF 2023), organized by the School of Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Bioinformatics, D Y Patil Deemed to be University, Navi Mumbai, on 15th − 16th December 2023.
