Staff and students of the department enthusiastically participated in Xnergy 2025, an outreach event to expose school children to the wonders of science and the opportunities for higher education in science. The event was held on occasion of National Science Day (28th February). UG and PG students of the department set up and manned ‘Live Stations’ demonstrating various scientific experiments and concepts covered in the Life Science course to the visiting school children. Some of the items displayed were model organisms like C. elegans and Zebrafish, posters on Microbes are Everywhere!, Not all Viruses are Bad, observing human blood cells and cytoplasmic streaming in plants under the microscope and hands-on fun activities like Stroop's test and optical illusions.
