Ms Srinidhi Srinivasan and Mr Anamitra Goswami, both MSc Part I students have been awarded the prestigious Indo-US Khorana Scholarship for the year 2024. They have been chosen through a highly competitive selection process and will be completing a research internship in areas of their choice at renowned research institutes in the USA. Srinidhi will be working on 'Mechanisms of Alzheimer's disease' at Northwestern University and Anamitra will be working on 'Immunotherapy on Vascular Events' at Cleveland Clinic.
TYBSc 6U students Ms Isha Dwivedi, Ms Stuti Dasgupta and Ms Naomi Pereira won the RCB BioE3 Idea Competition 2024 organized by the Regional Centre for Biotechnology. Regional Centre for Biotechnology (RCB) is an autonomous institution for Education, Training, and Research established under the auspices of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), by the Government of India (GoI), Department of Biotechnology. It is meant to be a Centre of Excellence in Biotechnology. BioE3 stands for ‘Biotechnology for Economy, Environment and Employment’.

Ms Archisa Dutta (SYBSc) won the photography contest ‘A Glimpse Behind the Curtain’ organized by India Performing Arts (IPA) department of ECC. Nrityangan, the annual intra-classical dance competition, is a platform provided by the Indian Performing Arts (IPA) for furthering the dedication of students towards pure classical dance.
Ms Sulagna Das (SYBSc) won 2nd place at the Paint Away (Switch Painting event) at Kaleidoscope 24-25 at Sophia College for Women, Mumbai
Ms Sachi Jukar (TYBSc, 6U) has made the department proud by winning accolades at the University of Mumbai Inter-collegiate Badminton Tournaments for three years in a row!
