Materials needed for class: A notebook or loose leaf paper for notes and homework assignments, lab notebook for lab reports, a folder or 3-ring binder to keep all handouts, a scientific calculator, preferably a graphing calculator with the quadratic formula programmed in, a whiteboard marker, a pencil and a good eraser, College Physics Textbook
Grade calculations:
1st semester: 50% Unit 1 Kinematics ; 50% Unit 2 Dynamics
2nd semester: 30% Unit 3 Work, Energy & Power ; 20% Unit 4 Linear Momentum ; 16% Unit 5 Torque & Rotational Dynamics ; 8% Unit 6 Energy & Momentum of Rotating Systems ; 6% Unit 7 Oscillations ; 15% Unit 8 Fluids ; 5% Final Exam
