Hello! I'm Mrs. Cole, the music teacher. This is my 20th year teaching music at Maple Glen. Before that, I taught 1st grade at Shamrock Springs for 16 years. I have 2 adult daughters and 3 amazing little granddaughters, Ila (7), Ellery (3), and Rory (newborn). In my time away from school, I love traveling with Mr. Cole, and making music with the worship team at my church. Music class is a time to relax and learn to enjoy the beauty music provides for us; whether playing with toys to improve our understanding of musical concepts, singing new songs and play-party games, playing instruments, or just relaxing while listening to a piece composed or performed by a famous musician. I view learning how to do music and learning about music is one of the most important activities we can provide our students as part of developing the whole child. I hope your child enjoys his/her time in the music room!
