Please note that transportation changes need to be sent to your child's teacher either by email, Talking Points or by calling the front office at 317-896-4700 ext 17001. Please be sure all transportation changes are communicated with your child's teacher no later than 1:00pm. If you must make changes after that time, you must call the front office.

BUS RIDERS

With this online transportation information system, parents can find the schools, bus routes, and approximate pick-up and drop-off times for a specific address.

***In the morning, all kindergarten students will walk in from the busses together through the first-grade hallway. They are personally dropped off at each of their buses in the afternoon by their teachers.***

CAR RIDERS

Students who arrive by car in the morning are dropped off in the kindergarten line (small circle drive by door 7) before school starts and will remain in the front hallway until the first bell rings. These kindergarten students will line up with other car riders from their class for the first couple weeks of school then they are walked to their class by a member of the Maple Glen staff. Once they get the routine down, these students will walk to their class on their own with adult supervision in the area. In the afternoon, all kindergarten car riders line up together in the hallway and are walked out to their cars by a member of the Maple Glen staff. Special adults of car rider students will be given a yellow card with the child's name on it to keep on their dashboard so staff members know which car belongs to which student.

BEFORE AND AFTER CARE (BAC)

Students who attend the Maple Glen Before and After Care (BAC) program in the morning are dropped off in front of the school prior to school starting and remain in the cafeteria until the first bell rings. These kindergarten students are walked to the kindergarten hallway by a member of the BAC staff. In the afternoon, all students who attend this program line up together in the kindergarten hallway and are walked down to the cafeteria by a member of the BAC staff.

Here Comes the Bus App

Our school district uses an app called "Here Comes the Bus". This will allow you to track the bus in real-time. It will not be 100% accurate until September 1st as bus routes are tweaked and beginning of the year routes are squared away. See the image for directions to set up this app.
