First, you need to have a functioning instrument. I recommend renting an instrument from 1 of our 2 approved music vendors.
When renting an instrument, we will need
The lesson book: Sound Innovations Book 1 for their specific instrument (If playing percussion please purchase "combined percussion")
Reeds if playing clarinet or sax. You should purchase a box of Rico Reeds size 2.5 reeds (Orange Box)
Valve/Slide Oil if playing trumpet, french horn, baritone, or trombone.
Music Stand (extremely important for efficient practice at home)
I HIGHLY recommend purchasing the LDW (Liability Damage Waiver Plan). The Waiver covers repairs, damage and loss. Without it, you would be responsible for any repairs needed on the instrument.
Be aware that when you purchase an instrument, you are responsible for paying for all repairs and maintenance. For beginner students, I would ALWAYS recommend renting instead of purchasing your first instrument
