Publications is made up of an award-winning newspaper and yearbook staff that has earned national, state and regional recognition. Publications is a year-long hybrid journalism course and a production class where students learn the fundamentals of journalism including reporting, copy writing, design and photography and then apply those skills to the production of the school newspaper The Hoofprint (print and online) and the school yearbook Cayuse. We emphasize upholding journalistic integrity and professionalism in a highly collaborative environment while covering topics and issues appropriate for our audience. Students also have opportunities to attend summer yearbook camp, media competitions and national journalism conventions.
