This page will be used to curate some useful links to 'free courses' that may be particularly useful if you have completed your current course (or will do very shortly) and will not be progressing on to another course at Warrington and Vale Royal College. For example, there are varied ‘free courses’ available from the Open University and Edge Hill University, that may be useful for the learners who will be going into HE or Higher-level Apprenticeships.
As a partner institution, Edge Hill University has shared with us a curated (and ongoing) list of courses and resources to support with online learning. As they say themselves, "these are not recommendations, just suggestions and you will be best placed to select what works for you." However, I would definitely check out the specific section for learning within Further Education. Lots of good stuff here!
Produced by The Open University, a world leader in open and distance learning, all OpenLearn courses are free to study. We offer nearly 1000 free courses across 8 different subject areas. Our courses are available to start right away.
