Conservation Focus Areas (CFAs), identified in the 2015 SWAP, are designated sites across West Virginia known for high biodiversity. They were strategically chosen to encourage collaboration among partners, allowing for focused conservation of multiple species, habitats, and issues more effectively than efforts conducted alone or at a statewide level. CFAs, therefore, greatly increase the potential for successful conservation.
