The SWAP describes the conditions, distribution and relative locations of key habitats and community types essential for the conserving SGCN. The 2025 SWAP identifies a total of 21 terrestrial and 26 aquatic habitats, with a future priority to develop a method for classifying subterranean (cave and karst) habitats.
