The West Virginia DNR Wildlife Resources Section's mission is to conserve and protect the state's fish and wildlife resources for the use and enjoyment of all citizens of West Virginia. All species of wildlife shall be maintained for value that may be intrinsic, ecological, or be of benefit to the public, including (1) hunting, fishing, and other diversified recreation opportunities; (2) economic contributions; and (3) scientific and educational uses.
