The Watershed Quality Standards and Assessment Section is responsible for general water quality monitoring and assessing throughout the state.
Monitoring Activities from 2017 through 2022
Using the watershed framework, the focus of several monitoring programs rotates from one grouping to the next each year, while other programs retain a statewide focus every year. The table below provides a summary of monitoring activities that occurred during 2017-2022.

How to Use the Map
Upper left corner
Use the home button 🏠 to return to the original view.
Use the + and - in the top left corner to zoom in or out on the map.
Under the zoom buttons, click on the "Export to PDF" to save a screenshot of the map to your device.
Upper right corner
Click the first icon to view a list of map layers (stacked squares icon). Clicking on the stacked squares will bring up the list of layers. Each layer can be turned on and off using the visibility icon👁️🗨️.
The second icon is the legend, which only shows map layers when they are turned on. View the legend to see the symbols representing each layer.
The third icon is a lookup function (magnifying glass). Clicking on the magnifying glass will allow you to type in a city, state and zoom to a specific location on the map.
In the bottom right corner is the basemap gallery (4 squares). Clicking this icon will switch between 2 basemaps that change the background of the map. The 2 basemap options are Light Gray and Open Street Map.
To learn more about the features shown on the map, click on a specific feature to see a "pop up" providing details about an individual feature.
