WV 2024 Designated Uses Dashboards
The primary focus of the WV 2024 Integrated Report is to assess water quality data to determine if waters are supporting their designated uses.
In accordance with the Water Quality Standards regulation, every waterbody is assigned designated uses and each has associated water quality criteria that describe specific conditions that must be met to ensure that the waterbody can support that use.
The most commonly assigned designated use subcategories in WV are:
· Agriculture and Wildlife
· Public Water Supply
· Trout Waters
· Warm Water Fishery
· Water Contact Recreation: Recreation/Fish Consumption
