Leverages an understanding of school and community needs to identify and invest in digital resources such as books and ebooks to support student learning
2018 -allocated a portion of our Common School Funds to join the WSDLC, the Wisconsin Schools Digital Library Consortium, which is a curated and shared collection of age appropriate ebooks and audiobooks which students access through the SORA app.
-Fall of 2022 - the library has diverted funds away from some duplicate and/or under-utilized digital tools in order to subscribe to a new application called FIERO.
2024-2029
Align CSF allocations to district strategic initiatives
Monitor usage of e-books and audiobooks via reports
Promote to staff offerings of and usage ideas for Badgerlink databases
Evaluate databases and digital apps by use to inform future purchases
2024-25 Year in Review Budget & Resources
-Management of online resources from teacher feedback: Discontinue Learning Literature, Add Book Creator licenses and Gale In Context: High School (new English curriculum)
-Addition of student interest resources for 2025-26: Comics Plus, Craft & Hobby; discontinue Fiero Coding (low usage)
-Addition of ebook and audiobook versions of all BOMC, Teen summer reading contest titles, Battle of the Books titles
-Addition of STEAM tools for students: keyboard and ukeleles purchased (music); purchase of set of Finch robots with microbits (computer programming) ; purchase of sticker printer (makerspace technology)
