Goals and Objectives
-Recognize and use vocal warm up exercises properly
-Assemble into their performance groups and perform their scenes
-Recall the R.A.P. format, concept and sources (Review of A Performance)
-(Hand in "Tuesday R.A.P.s")
-Develop theatre vocabulary through reading Chapter 12
-Define "Tuesday R.A.P.s," including review format, three paragraphs, and how to articulate opinion
-Assemble into their small groups and select their one-acts
-Demonstrate vocabulary understanding of words from Chapter 12
-Define vocabulary words from Chapter 12
-Employ reading skills by reading Chapter 12 in pairs
-Recognize and use vocal warm up exercises properly
-Assemble into their performance groups begin reading a selected one-act
-Working with a partner begin writing adaptive scenes from the one-act
-Recognize and use vocal warm up exercises properly
-Continue readings one-acts
-Examine a videotaped production of "Producers" to view ensemble acting techniques
Learning Activities or Instructional Strategies
-Teacher to model specific warm up exercises and involve students through imitation
-Teacher will observe and evaluate students reading selected one-acts
-Repeat review of R.A.P.s including format, three paragraphs, where to find reviews, and how to articulate opinion
-Teacher to model reading Chapter 12 for vocabulary, students will complete the reading
-Teacher will remind about "Tuesday R.A.P.s," including format, three paragraphs, and how to articulate opinion
-Teacher will organize students into groups and assist them in selecting one-acts to read
-Teacher will divide the students into pairs and ask them to read Chapter 12 aloud
-Task students with logging vocabulary words into their notebooks
-Model specific physical and vocal warm up exercises (5 min,) students will join in (10 min)
-Teacher will ask the students to research and develop selected one-acts (Arsenic & Alky)
-Discuss and critique a new scene of a videotaped performance of "The Producers" for examples of ensemble acting
Differentiation

Assessments
-Assess student vocabulary knowledge of Chapter 12 by distributing a Vocabulary Quiz
-Teacher will observe students rehearsing for memorization and characterization skills
-Observe and evaluate students rehearsing and reading through one-act selections
