The SAT Preparation course will give direction, focus preparation, and teach specific skills and effective test-taking strategies students need to be successful on the digital SAT. This course has been designed to incorporate adaptive instructional content that is aligned with state standards and focused on core ELA and math skills. Upon completion of this course, students will be able to recognize the sections of the digital SAT and apply appropriate strategies to increase confidence and improve SAT test scores.

This class is designed to run for a full semester following an A/B schedule rotating daily between ELA and Math sections. The structure of these classes will be to provide lessons that model the types of questions that are found on the digital SAT and the strategies used to effectively answer the questions. The SAT Math Preparation portion of the course will focus on various foundations of mathematics, such as algebra, statistics, geometry, arithmetic, probability, data interpretation, and problem-solving. Students will be expected to take instructional notes, practice sample test problems, discuss strategies, and analyze their mistakes.  Throughout the course,  students will be provided ample opportunities to simulate the testing experience through the use of digital practice tests.
