About the Presenters
Mr. Rose has a background in acting, directing, and fight choreography. Most recently at BUHS, he performed the role of Vice Principal Panch in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. In previous workshops, he has taught us about what stage movement is, what does a movement choreographer do, and how it differs from blocking. He also worked with us on physical training and how our movement onstage translates into physical acting/telling a story with movement.
For almost twenty-five years, Mrs. Kersten has been a theatre artist in the contexts of educational, community, and professional theatre. She has practiced her craft through acting, design, stage management, and directing. While her teaching career officially began in 2018, she has been a teacher for far longer, serving as trainer, mentor, coach, and manager in a variety of capacities from Resident Production Stage Manager to Resident Costume Designer/Shop Manager, and more.
