Code of Conduct

"To be early is to be on time, to be on time is to be late..."

Many current students and alumni will recognize the above quotation from the BUHS Music Department handbook, and it is as true today as it has ever been. Students who participate in the performing arts at BUHS and take this statement to heart are preparing themselves for life as a performer beyond high school.

To be a performing artist, one must strive for excellence, and this means committing to the work and to the ensemble or production. Demonstrating this committment means arriving at least 5 minutes early to rehearsals (or communicating promptly with the director if you will be late), being prepared with the appropriate music or script, a sharpened pencil and eraser, a water bottle, and wearing clothing that allows for ease of movement (if in a play or the musical).

Demonstrating this committment also means adhering to the Music Theatre Extra Curricular Code of Conduct. For every theatrical production and extra curricular musical group, students and families must read and sign this document, linked below for your convenience. A copy of this document is provided to every student upon joining the production or ensemble.
