Jamel Smith Flex

My name is Jamel, I am 1️⃣5 years old, and a Sophmore at BUHS. I have many passions including gaming 🎮 and electronics 💻 . I have decided to join the FLEX program in hopes to graduate my Junior year of high school. I love my family 🧑‍🧑‍🧒‍🧒 , friends, gaming 🕹️, money 🤑, technology 🧑‍💻, animals 🐶, humor 😂, and kindness ♥️. I found the FLEX program after asking my counselor for possible ways to graduate 🧑‍🎓 early after having over 6️⃣ study halls. They then recommended me to FLEX where if I work hard enough to earn 6️⃣ credits I could graduate early. I have been determined ever since.

I chose to work with flex because I had a goal to graduate early but the odds where stacked against me. I asked my consouler if there were any options and they referred me to the FLEX program. I have found this program very useful to my education but I would say it's not an easy 🅰️. Not only do you have to put in the effort you have to put in a lot of time ⏲️. I think if I have any suggestions for future students I would say have some ideas on what you want to work on. Also recognize what resources or time you have available. I think the teacher Ms.Thielen is very kind and understanding and has a good sense of humor.

What is the flex structure like? based on my experience.
The flex structure me and Ms.Thielen did was meet together once a week every week during ace and I worked on things we discussed on my own time. This experience could vary for others based on what you and your flex team decides to do.

Who would I recommend Flex to?

I would recommend Flex to people who may identify themselves with one or more of the following (Not to say you wouldn't be a good fit)

You are a hard working student
You have good communication skills 🗣️
You can be flexible
You can commit time and effort to your area of learning ⏲️
You are looking to graduate early 🎓
You are looking to pass a class you may have just barely failed (flex 50) (Teacher Recommended)
