2nd Grade Music Program  (posted 10/19/26)

This week, the 2nd grade music students are beginning work on a music program for the night of December 10th. We will be using music class time to work on a short program called “A Bear-y Merry Holiday." With performance being part of the Colorado State music standards, all 2nd graders are expected to participate in this program that is on the night of Thursday, December 10th at 6:00 pm.  That night, students will need to meet in their classrooms at 5:30 pm. If there is a conflict because your child is sick that day, please contact me by phone or email so that an alternate grade can be arranged for your child after the program.

To match our Bear theme, students will need to wear jeans and the assigned SOLID colored shirt ALL DAY for BOTH the dress rehearsal performance and the night performance for parents. Hobby Lobby/Michaels (in the t-shirt craft section) and Walmart are always a great place to find solid colored t-shirts for a very cheap price. Here are the assigned colors:

Mrs. Konkel’s Class— “The Grizzly Bears”--SOLID BROWN SHIRT (no writing or pictures) In the past, it has not been easy to find brown colored shirts so please start looking ASAP and consider ordering something online.

Mrs. Lang’s Class— “The Polar Bears”-- SOLID WHITE SHIRT (no writing or pictures)

Mrs. Zirzow’s Class— “The Black Bears”--SOLID BLACK SHIRT (no writing or pictures)

Willing students may be assigned simple speaking parts that consist of one or two sentences that need to be memorized. If your child is selected for a speaking part, it is absolutely imperative that they are present for the concert on the 10th.
