During the months of Oct-Dec, the 2nd Grade music classes will be preparing for their music program which will be performed on Thursday, December 11th. Performance in this program is mandatory and more specific information will be posted here when we begin our work in October.  This performance will directly address Standard E-3.a Engage in refinement and feedback processes to prepare music for performance; Standard E-3.b Self-evaluate to refine musical performance; Standard E-3.c Critique expressive elements performed by others; Standard R-1.a Communicate understanding of music's expressive qualities that influence personal preference; Standard R-1.b Communicate similarities between musical pieces; Standard R-2.b Explain their own cultural and social interests in music; and Standard R-2.c Identify and connect specific songs/music to specific settings (holiday, religious, celebratory).
