Beginning mid-February, the 2nd grade music classes will be working on a short unit about meter. We will be using movement and instruments to identify the strong and weak beats within a song, and then group those into duple or triple meter examples.  This unit will directly address Standard T-3.b Meter/Beat Groupings: Identify and demonstrate duple and triple meter/beat groupings (2/4, 3/4) and strong vs. weak beat within a measure.
