Dancing promotes confidence, self esteem, personal expression and flexibility of the body and mind. It is a great way to connect to a supportive community within the school. Dance classes promote physical fitness as artistry and act as a catalyst for engaging in movement expression for a lifetime.
A class for anyone who wants to move and try new things! Many styles of dance will be explored, including jazz, contemporary, hip hop, and others. The focus will be on developing an appreciation of dance artistry, community, and culture.
No experience is necessary!
This course offers an opportunity to explore dance in a safe and fun environment while learning about various styles of dance, such as hip-hop, lyrical, jazz, contemporary and wellness. The focus is on developing an appreciation for different styles of dance genres and cultures while also exploring the choreographic process.
KDC is a performance based Hip-Hop group of dancers, who strive for higher level training and dance exposure. Rooted in street dance; many genres and styles will be studied.
KDC performs in a wide variety of competitive and non-competitive venues.
Open to students in grades 9-12.
KDC meets at 12:20 on days 1, 3 & 5 all year for 1 credit.

Pom is an energetic and dynamic style of dance that places emphasis on precise and synchronized arm movements, formations, jumps, and skills. It is characterized by its use of poms, which dancers hold in their hands throughout a routine.
POM performs in a wide variety of competitive and non-competitive venues.
Open to students in grades 9-12
POM meets at 12:20 on days 2, 4 & 6 all year for 1 credit.
