Visual Art is part of a well-balanced diet
Visual Arts courses:

-provide space to build connections with others
-provide an opportunity to learn and communicate in a different way (hands-on)
-are holistic. Art involves mind, body, heart, and spirit. Who a person is, their intellect, their feelings, their culture, their past experiences, their future hopes, are all involved when interpreting art and when making art.
-art class is often fun, social, calming. Taking art adds an element of joy to the school day.
