Many of our audience members have been going to band and orchestra concerts for years. However, just as many of our musicians are new to performing, this may be the first concert some members of our audience have attended. Whether this is Concert #1 for you or Concert #100+, please take a moment to review some key points of concert etiquette:
Please silence all phones, tablets, and/or any electronic devices. Consider putting the device in "Airplane" or "Do Not Disturb" mode to make sure any noisy notifications don't try to add their own music into our performance.
Please remain in your seats for the duration of the concert. All of our ensembles have worked hard to perform for you, and the groups at the end of the night deserve as much of an audience as those at the beginning.
If you must enter or exit the seating area during the concert, please do so in between musical selections/during applause.
Please refrain from carrying on conversations in the middle of the performance. If you absolutely must talk, please use your softest whisper.
If you like what you see and hear, applause is encouraged, but please avoid catcalling.
Feel free to take as many pictures of your student performers as you would like, but make sure your flash is turned off.
